Technologies

HEXAGON FRAME

Hexagonal frame whose shape provides greater rigidity and resistance to the racket, thanks to the creation of a rib in the frame, which has a straight part (edge) and a chamfered part (chamfer).

SLICE TECHNOLOGY

Rough texture for the racket surface. As its name suggests, it is specially designed for backhand or drive shots with slice or cuts.

In its design, a series of curved lines have been arranged for right-handed players, which are duplicated in the opposite direction for left-handed players, so that the lines hook the ball and increase its effect.

When compared to a tennis racket, the hook is even greater, since the strings of the racket are straight and horizontal in the shape of a cross generating a square. But in tue case of Slice technology, lines are designed with a curved shape, since the surface of the ball that is in contact with such lines is much larger.

Technology patented and registered in the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office extensible to other countries.

HEXAGON BUMPER

Adhesive bumper designed exclusively for models with Hexagon frame. In its previous version, this it weighed 21gr. However, thanks to the design it has been possible to reduce its weight by half, and now it  only weights 10gr.

It has been designed and produced through an injection mold in a low hardness PTU to absorb shocks and chafing.

It is fixed on the racket frame by means of an adhesive material without the need to drill into the frame and thus avoiding having to weaken it for its fixing. Consequently, possible vibrations of the bumper are eliminated and we achieve a total twinning between the racket frame and the lower surface of the bumper.

Technology patented and registered in the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office extensible to other countries.

ADAPTED & GRADUAL HOLES

Gradual drilling technology adapted to the racket shape. It consists of using 3 different hole sizes, making them smaller in the central area (10 mm in diameter), medium in the middle area until we get close to the frame (11.5 mm) and large in the perimeter area or closest to the frame (13 mm). With this perforation we are able to compensate the excessive flexibility of the center of the racket with the low flexibility of the area of the core that joins the frame, thus allowing greater homogeneity to blows and increasing the resistance of the core.

This drilling technology has also been used with 2 diameters instead of 3 (13mm in the perimeter area and 11.5mm in the central area) in ranges of rackets not used by professional players as they turn out to be softer due to the fact that the drill in the central area it is 11.5mm instead of 10mm.

HYPERSOFT

Soft foam core with spectacular measures of hardness and rebound, which gives a very balanced control and power to the racket, to play at low temperatures or up to 25ºC.

Technical information

Advanced level Varlion padel racket with a round shape that privileges control over power.

It is made using a bi-directional tubular carbon. Its core is made of EVA Hypersoft with a medium hardness of 38mm and is laminated by layers of different fiberglass and carbon fiber fabrics, impregnated in Varlion’s exclusive VAR-FLEX epoxy resin for maximum elasticity and resistance, and covered by a layer of titanium dioxide.

Its perforation, called Adapted & Gradual Holes, increases the sweet point of the racket as it is designed following the shape of the racket outline. The external holes have a diameter of 13mm and the internal ones 11.5mm to also make the hitting more homogeneous.

In turn, Slice technology (new rough texture) has been applied to the hitting surface through the 3D direct screen printing system, to help the player to apply effects on the ball more effectively.

This racket is designed with a Hexagon frame to give greater rigidity and resistance and it’s protected by the adhesive injected Hexagon bumper. This bumper is produced through a low hardness TPU injection mold to absorb bumps and chafing.

On the other hand, in its heart we find a bridge called Hexaforce, which gives the area more rigidity.

And finally, it is worth highlighting the Handlesafety technology, a new safety system for the handle. Normally, in all rackets the rope comes out from a centered hole which is attached to the handle frame by means of a pin, rivets, nails, etc. However, with this system, the rope goes through the two walls of the handle and comes out on both sides of the tip, thus giving 100% safety and comfort to the grip.

Lethal Weapon, Hexagon frame and Adhesive Bumper, are brands and utility models registered in the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, and therefore exclusively owned and used by Varlion.
